Baby B’s recent obsessions include:
*Her new wagon. She can’t get enough. We’ve been on multiple walks with it. It’s still in the house while we do some work in the garage, so she keeps asking for rides through the house. And she’s very insistent that we buckle the seatbelt before moving. I guess all those times of telling her that it’s important to wear our seatbelts are paying off. Safety first.
*The Nutcracker board book. She asks for this to be read at bedtime, and we usually indulge her about 4 or 5 times. “One more? Peez, Daddy?” She would make us read it all night long if it were up to her. She loves pointing out the “Nut-chatch-cher” on each page.
*Slides. She loves going down the slide at the park, but what she loves more? Watching toddlers slide on YouTube. On there, we can watch kids on much bigger slides, and she always asks for more.
*Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Ever since her performance of that song at the daycare Christmas party, she can’t get enough. She has a small stuffed Rudolph that she sleeps with, and she requests that he “sing” before bed, so The Husband does a few rounds of the song before she goes to sleep.
*Feeding the cats and dog. If there is an empty food or water dish in the house, Baby B is ON the case. Immediately. I think the cats and dog have paid her as a contract worker to act on their behalf so they receive instant access to food, even after they’ve just finished eating.
