Oink, oink

Sorry, no Wordless Wednesday post today. And it’ll be a brief one, long enough so I can say I technically posted.

I’ll just get to the bottom line: I was confirmed for swine flu today, so the doctor is reasonably certain that’s what The Husband and Baby B have, too, even though their tests came back negative. (The tests have a very high false negative rate.)

Things are not well in our house. Thank goodness Baby B is self-sufficient in many ways (and can help too), but The Husband and I are incapacitated, and Baby B is eating meals of preztels and applesauce and oyster crackers and peanut butter for dinner the past two nights. She has watched the Pooh Heffalump movie at least 15 billion times each day because it means she’s getting into fewer things around the house. Today during her naptime, The Husband and I slept while she pretty much just roamed the house and brought us various things she found. We just didn’t have the energy to correct her.

Now have to try to get her to bed so we can eat and then get to bed ourselves. I’m not a baby when it comes to being sick, but this is rough.

Brutal! I had to catch up over here since it has been a while. If it’s any consolation, Ryan’s probably seen the Heffalump movie almost as much as Baby B – and we’re not sick. ;)

Feel better soon D. It will end at some point. Just do what you have to, to get through the day (and night).
    Speedy recovery to you all.

Ugh…I wondered when you all got hit so hard. Feel better and just take care of yourselves. Baby B will thrive on crackers and applesauce. LOL thats pretty much all my son eats anyway the picky boy. Feel better soon.

*and Baby B’s real name was used in the first comment…don’t know if you can edit that or not…

I’m just getting over the swine flu and it was horrible. The pure exhaustion from it was the worst of it for me. I of course shared it with my 8 year old daughter who appeared just fine during the time I felt I was dying. I hope you all feel better soon!

Thanks, Alex. I was able to fix it fine.

You poor guys! I would offer to bring you a meal, but I don’t really want to expose myself. I could bring groceries and hang them on the doorknob, though, if you need anything! :)

Hugs. And seriously? Don’t worry too much about “correcting” Baby B. Whatever you all need to do to survive the sick is about all you need to be doing.

I’m sorry I don’t live close enough to bring you some food.

Love to all three of you. Feel better soon.

    xx
